Of all the sights that modernity has imposed on my eyeballs, the sight of a McMansion sitting in the middle of a southern, country landscape is one that irks me the most. The optical illusion of grandeur made by an oversized roof and front door, combined with Stucco pillars and steep angles, work better at the end of a suburban cul-de-sac than in the countryside. It is not only the architecture but also the symbolism of the thing that makes it so repulsive. It’s ugly, but it’s ugly in a way that’s imposible to describe to it’s inhabitants. It is modernity intentionally covering up natural beauty, in order that its owner gets noticed first.
So let’s contrast the consumerist’s McMansion with that of their traditionalists neighbors down the way. They’re an older couple living in the modest, wood frame house. The house itself has a certain charm, for sure, but is nothing to brag about. Inside, on the old walls, you’ll see faded, almost ghostly, photographs of kinfolk long past. On shelves and the fridge are images of loved, smiling youth. Outside, immediately surrounding the house, is the evidence of years of cooperation and commitment. It’s beautiful, but it’s beautiful in a way that’s impossible to describe to the man who values material possessions above all else.
Products are the markers of status in the mind of the consumerist. The $300,000 McMansion and the $70,000 pickup in its garage are the products, which in his mind, are indicators of a successful life. However, in the mind of the man who values the things of God, when modernity is set in such stark contrast against that which God has created, it appears as an ugly corruption.
Beauty is that which best reflects the uncorrupted design of God. Order is the created, resting in the place that God created for it. The artists, in ages past, knew this and used their medium as a reflection of that “perfection” or, at least, the closest they could come to it. Sadly, the Arts have been corrupted to the point where they’ve lost the ability, or desire, to see God’s perfection. It’s for that reason, why we have to be explained to why modern art is “beautiful” by pretentious, yuppy boomers, but we will willingly travel the globe in order to get just a glimpse of Michaelangelo’s David. It’s why we have to be lectured to as to why mumble rap is really a high art form, but even a child can recognize the beauty in Pachebel’s Canon in D.
” My kingdom is not of this world.” said Christ, and neither are the Order and Beauty which come from it. They are, however, our goals. It is our duty, as Christian men, to provide as much Godly order and beauty in this world as possible.
Of course, in the modern world, the enemies of Order are in charge and have been for some time now. Laws are numerous and vague or sometimes purposely obscured in order to incite uncertainty and fear. The beautiful innocence of children is stolen and replaced by hideous debauchery and then paraded before the masses like the golden calf. The rainbow has replaced the cross and is the symbol of the empirical religion. Wars are neverending and chaotic. Corporations feed off of the fear and confusion, and provide a steady supply of dopamine hits with the purchase of their disposable goods that they advertise between the scenes of sex and violence.
There is no doubt who is in charge. Critical Theory is seeing her day in the sun. The Revolutionaries have taken to the streets, toppled the order, and now sit at the seat of power. Here is where our trap lies and if we don’t see it, it will lead to our demise.
It’s easy, and very tempting, for us to fall into this trap, but that’s exactly what it is. This is why it’s so important to define who you are and what your goal is. They will flaunt how they took power in order for you to try the same. They will make documentaries about how they marched in the street and tore down the symbols of “oppression”. They will write books like “Rules for Radicals” and brag about how they lied and cheated to get in power and how they used your “stupid” Christian values against you. Then someone will come along and say ” If we’re going to beat them, we’re going to have to give up our morals and use the same tactics that they do.” And it sounds tempting, especially when you’re on the bottom at the moment. It’s at moments like these that you have to take a step back and realize that you’re in a larger, cosmic battle between chaos and order and you can only take one side.
There is a limit to how much chaos and disorder people will tolerate before they demand order. We need to be the providers of that order, at least to our people, before the wrong person/s come along. We already have a King and we are his vice-regents here on Earth. We are his elected and that comes with noble values and duties that we are not permitted to shirk. He is Logos. He is Order and Beauty personified and his Kingdom should reflect that order and beauty.
There should be no sticking your head in the sand and waiting for Armageddon. If we’re honest with ourselves, that’s largely what got us into this mess. Especially in the Deep South, this belief that, ” Well, Jesus is coming back soon so what does it matter anyway?” is just a cover for a selfish and cowardly church.
Out of all the generations of Christians that have come and gone, and all of the suffering and persecution that they had to endure, why would Christ choose to come and rescue the worst excuse for a church in history? The one who brought us the slaughter of the unborn and the collapse of the family. The one who permits sexual deviants access to children. No, Christ isn’t coming to rescue you from the product of your cowardice. You’re not worth it. You’ve spent the last 30 years living it up in the most materialistic, self-absorbed society that the world has ever seen. You’ve propped up ” pastors” who’ve told you that your selfish, materialistic indulgences are “God’s way of rewarding you for being a good Christian”. And just like you’re doing with your blessed Social Security, you pass on the payment to your grandchildren. Even if you knew that the world would end tommorow, there is nothing that absolves you of your Christian duties for today, but that is exactly what you have done and history will judge you as derelict.
So now, those of us who are not ok with trannies touching our sons and measles-infected third worlders touching our daughters, will have to work a double shift. None of this is going to be fun, and it shouldn’t be. It’s like restoring a garden that has been left unattended. The weeds have taken root and are currently choking the life out of our future. Removing them is going to cause your hands to get dirty and injured, but it has to be done. Weeding is just a means to an end, and only sadist would take enjoyment in it. The only enjoyment should be in the end product. When that which you are raising is free from danger and growing in God’s light.
When God created this world, He assigned a certain ontology that pertains to it. The Revolutionaries will be contesting that Order until the last days, because of their rejection of his Word. It’s the rejection of Christ, and his Law, that gives them their identity. That’s why it does no good for our side to take to the streets to protest the protestors. All that does is add more chaos to the system. We represent the Order and just because someone works a 9 to 5 blue-collar or office job, doesn’t make them any less responsible for maintaining law and order.
I don’t know how the Muslim feels about the modern world, nor do I care. I’m not particularly interested in the Jew’s concern for his nation, just as long as he’s not denying me my Christian one. How a Hindu or a Buddhist meets the challenges of Globohomo, I frankly could not care less. I’m not a citizen of the world. I’m a southerner and a Christian. I have my own people with our own Faith and Destiny. I don’t need anyone elses culture, approval, or advice. I’ll take kindly if you just stay the hell away from me and my people and I’ll do the same.
Christianity gave US our civilization. It didn’t give the African Hunter-gatherer, or the Australian Aboriginel their culture, or Iranian, or the Indian theirs. They might just love their culture the way it is and more power to ’em. I just want them to keep it on their side of the fence and away from me and mine.
As ethnic Southerners, we have to remain aware that we are a Christian nation, but a Christian nation that is currently ruled over by a secular empire. If southern men choose to leave their Christian duties for trappings of a depraved society, then they should well be looking for the wrath of God to come their way. This is the nation that God gave you to, Southern Man. Keep it.
